3rd Young Filmmakers Workshop: Short Film
Young Filmmaking Workshop aims to provide young and growing film talents in Malaysia an unprecedented platform to learn directly from Southeast Asian established filmmakers (as mentors). All the participants was below 25 year old, during the workshop, the South East Asian mentors will share their experience to them in Producing, Directing, Editing and Cinematograpy. In the end, two of the potentials Malaysian young filmmakers will be represent Malaysia at the FLY Workshop by ASEAN-ROK.

Believe Me by Group 1
Synopsis: What would you do when you reality is questioned? What if its being questioned repeatedly? Over and over. Would you feel threatened? Would you give in? This is a story about believe and disbelieve. How Suja who had lost her son, developed her own bubble of beliefs, trying to expand her belief by pushing it to others to believe in it as well. On the other side, Thiru, a young man with his own inner conflicts rejects to believe at first, but gets vulnerable and weak when he is under guilt, and naturally decides to fall into the boundary of the Suja’s believe. This story attempts to explain the cycle of believe and disbelief, and the reactions between these two elements.

Mama by Group 2
Synopsis: A despaired mother meets a weary backpacker, Ah Wui and invites him to her house. Ah Wui eventually finds out the truth behind the strange behaviour of the mysterious mother.

Melati by Group C
Synopsis: 'Melati' follows the story of an old man, Pak Baba, who invites a young lady, Melati, into his house to stay over. Pak Baba is excited as he thinks that Melati who is good friends with his daughter, Izzati, has come all the way from Seremban. Having not seen Izzati in a long time, this might be the only chance for him to know more about his daughter. Melati, however, is very quiet and doesn't seem to want to entertain Pak Baba's questions about Izzati. She also doesn't seem too happy to be in Pak Baba's house as well. The story shows the struggle of an old man who is desperate to hear from his daughter and a young lady who is not able to give him exactly what he wants.
